Macallan 1977 / 30 Year Old

On initial nosing, this Macallan is massively sweet, honeyed and syrupy, before warming to a dry , floral charachter reminiscent of Parma Violets.

The early palalte is initially ocmplex, then bursting with sweet cereal and malt-mash notes. 

Its late palate of smoke runs onto the short, aromatic and distinctly dry finish.
