A curio from a Chivas distillery that few have heard of - one gets the feeling that no-one would notice if Glentauchers dropped off the face of the earth. Nonetheless, it would be a terrible pity - this is an old-fashioned, dustily-fruited little number with a lovely honeycomb nose.

Nose: Crunchie bars - big initial hit of honeycomb.  The kind of aroma one wants to eat.  Softens into Cadbury's caramel - which must be natural as DT don't add any nasties to their bottlings.  Melted brown sugar for toffee apples.  In short, delicious.

Palate:  Fudge, spice, rich thick-cut homemade marmalade, Caramac and dry, dusty oak.

Finish:  Medium length, with oakspice and wet cardboard.
