This Special Reserve blend from Buchanan’s was aged for a minimum of 18 years in ex-sherry barrels. Made by blending grain and single malt whiskies, this expression has a silky character that manifests on the palate with rich and well-rounded notes of sweet orange, nuts, honey and a hint of wood smoke.

This is smooth? Tastes like Canadian Whiskey with a few drops of Scotch put in for a hint. I questioned it with the company their answer was less than satisfactory. At first they did not recognizee the lot number I gave them. Makes me wonder.... Drinkable but very far from a 'fine Scotch' in my book.
This is my favorite whisky. I drink it straight. No ice. No water.
I can't get this in my city so I always pick up a bottle when I travel. It's very smooth and flavorful.
very speyside, it was a gift to me, an Islay drinker, so not quite my style. But smooth, sweet nose, gentle on the palate.
Having read all the positive reviews, and noting the awards this blend has won, I was a little disappointed. Ok for an 18yo blend but I have had better - e.g. Ballantines 17 to name one. Touch medicinal with not spectacular mouthfeel. Very drinkable, just not outstanding.
