Bokma Oude

A very famous Dutch genever. 'Oude' is the Dutch word for 'Old', but in jenever's case that means 'old-style', rather than 'aged'. The Oude category of jenevers are very flavoursome. Bokma were one of the first companies to use square bottles, ahead of Cointreau.

Tasting Notes by Simon Difford

A nose which suggests fresh hay bales and spicy olive oil leads to a mellow, sweet and spicy palate with a nutty brazil and hazelnut oiliness, a fruity touch of white grape juice, apple and tinned pineapple notes, plus hints of cloves and cinnamon. The finish is fresh and strangely cooling.
