Refill Butt 4114: A sister cask to butt 4127, this lacks the dramatic 'Final Vintage' text, but also bears the somewhat misleading "Bottled Winter 2008". Look, chaps, I know the weather isn't great in Scotland, but this must have been bottled no later than April! Winter's not until at least the middle of August!!

Bottler's Tasting Notes

On the nose is a concentrated sweet aroma to start which moves on to a peppery clean quality, a hint of salty ozone with late light peat quality.

The palate is initially very soft and complex, ranging from salty to barleyed, to coal dust and phenolic.  The finish is dry, bigger now on peat, damp earth, spicy and smoked wood fire flavours.
