Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes by Charles MacLean, World Whiskies Awards 2012
Profound colour, gorgeous aroma (burnt sugar, scented handbag, almond oil). Taste of canvas, burnt orange peel; aftertaste of coal smoke.
Tasting Notes by Mark Gillespie, World Whiskies Awards 2012
Dried peaches and pears, apple chips, hint of smokiness. Thick and spicy with caramel cola and cinnamon notes, hints of liquorice and dried peaches. A touch of coconut in excellent balance. Mouth-coating finish, thick, but short with caramel and liquorice notes.
Tasting Notes by Tim Forbes, World Whiskies Awards 2012
Very deep dense nose, huge concentration of sherried fruit. Old oak, hints of varnish / furniture polish. Medium-full palate, syruup, more oak and faint smoke.
