    • Profound colour, gorgeous aroma (burnt sugar, scented handbag, almond oil). Taste of canvas, burnt orange peel; aftertaste of coal smoke.

  • Tasting Notes by Mark Gillespie, World Whiskies Awards 2012

    • Dried peaches and pears, apple chips, hint of smokiness. Thick and spicy with caramel cola and cinnamon notes, hints of liquorice and dried peaches. A touch of coconut in excellent balance. Mouth-coating finish, thick, but short with caramel and liquorice notes.

    • Very deep dense nose, huge concentration of sherried fruit. Old oak, hints of varnish / furniture polish. Medium-full palate, syruup, more oak and faint smoke.
