N: Honey, ginger, cocoa, red apples, hint of Earl Grey, polished oak and some damson jam, sponge cake and castor sugar which starts in the background and becomes more prominent. Becomes slightly waxy with water.
P: Big hit of the damsons from the nose - delicious. Then a roar of hot spice at full strength, plus the sponge cake character and some summer fruits. Water calms the spices but knocks the oak slightly askew. This is better neat.
F: Long, spicy and very warming.
C: Fruit, malt and oak in excellent balance. Extrememly more-ish whisky.
