The latest release in Bruichladdich's 'Still' series (after Blacker and Redder), Golder Still refers to the colour provided by the experimental 'dumpy' squat bourbon Hogsheads that the spirit was matured in. These casks gave a greater ratio of wood contact to spirit and have resulted in the eponomyous 'Golder Still' spirit, it says here. Cunningly, the bottle has been coated, so unfortunately this amazing golden colour can't be seen until you have it in the glass...

I was told about this one. I was also told that it's a "must have" of any serious collection. I then was able to taste it at a function: very sweet and syrupy overall. Quite a 'thick' scotch, no messing about here. Dirt, fresh leaves, cherries, and a hint of bourbon make this an interesting dram overall. Not for everyone, but true Bruich fans will adore this.

This is a real masterpiece! Both in terms of precious liquid as well as the bottle design!!! 10/10.
