Very subtle, but not without character. Don't try it too soon after a bold single malt; it will seem bland. Salty/sweet. If you're looking for a lot of peat, you'll be disappointed. Overall, I would call it "elegant," but very safe. I do like a more subtle malt every once in a while, though. It makes you work harder to explore it. I felt the same way about the Glenmorangie 15. It needs time and patience.
