A multi-award-winning rum from St Lucia, Admiral Rodney is distilled from molasses in column stills, is aged an average of 12 years before bottling and has always been extremely popular with our customers. The name commemorates a famous 18th-century admiral who conquered the French in 1782.

I’ll try to provide some tasting notes rather than the usual “‘ere that’s a nice rum that” so that those that may want to but can get a sense of what is happening. On the nose, molasses and then some. Caramel, almost to the point of burning which gives a hint of liquorice or aniseed in the final notes with a tiny bit of citrus. To taste, I agree with those that think diplomatico is their champion if they want a sweet rum and not much to challenge their taste buds - I’m torn between the Diplimatico exclusiva reserva and this, as I too love a rum so sweet it’s almost a sugar syrup- but this, oh this brings that sweetness agreed not to the same level but brings some more layers in aniseed, citrus and a caramel that you have to go back for more. Those that say drink with ice are wrong, don’t do anything to this, pour big, kick back and enjoy!!

My favourite Rum. We bought this in St. Lucia and when back in the States we couldn't find it. If anyone knows where to find it, please post. Smoooooth stuff.
