Tasting Notes by Jim Murray

Nose: A youthful aroma with smoking peat embers.

Palate: Dazzling, multi-layered peat offers various layers of intensity and sweetness, from Fisherman's Friend cough candy to Tyrolean smoked cheese.

Finish: Long with excellent vanilla involvement and a dash of buttery kipper.

Balance: The nose promises little, but the complexity and sure-footedness of this malt is truly wonderful. 90 points.
