This stuff bears the name of the legendary Tom Jago, the man credited with creating Baileys Irish Cream and Malibu as well as being the marketing genius behind brands including Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Le Piat D’Or and Croft Original Sherry and when first launched in its original white glass bottle, Jago Vanilla used to include a paper collar proclaiming it was created by the man behind Baileys. Jago Vanilla Vodka Cream Liqueur was quite simply, gorgeous. Served chilled over ice, it was so more-ish, friends and family would often polish off a bottle in short order. Stating that it was reminiscent of an alcoholic vanilla ice cream that had melted in a glass doesn't really do it justice as it really was so quaffable. It's such a shame that you can't buy this stuff any more, I understand the original Blackwoods distillery went bust in 2008 and the vodka line was sold off to Blavod (ironically known for their black vodka). Would buy this in a flash if it was made available again (quite sure lots of people would too), hopefully one day it will be re-released as a brand.
