I would have to agree with Michael Jackson on this one. Pale bright gold in colour with hints of peat and light grass on the nose being oaky and toasty. Chewy but firm starting off sweet becoming drier. The finish is spicy, assertive with small explosions, long and warming. As he says,"extrovert and expressive, but with most of the action taking place in the finish." Michael Jackson (authior "The Malt Wisky Companion")I think it is worth every penny and some more. Glenfiddich

Glenfiddich Distillery

A colossus, Glenfiddich was established by William Grant in 1876, with the first spirit running off the stills in 1887.  Today the company is still run by his descendants and as the first whisky to truly market itself as a single malt, Glenfiddich now accounts for about 30% of all single malt sales worldwide.  The iconic triangular green bottle was introduced in 1957 and can now be found in just about every licensed establishment (and probably most of the unlicensed ones as well) in the world.
