Some real crackers this week - a lovely new Dalmore, a new JD for the Jack fans, Glengyle's new Kilkerran (the first of a series of Works in Progress) and, best of all, a mini-flight of new Single Malts of Scotland! We've got our first ever Glenrothes and new releases of our acclaimed Clynelish and Caol Ilas, you lucky people.
Don't forget you can now follow us on Facebook (click on the icon at the top of the page) and we also now have Twitter accounts for new releases (@WhiskyExchange) and the TWE Blog (@TWEBlog).

It's fair to say that this week's offering is a hefty wallop of big-hitters from some blue-chip distilleries, with new 1970s vintages of Ardbeg and Dalmore, Douglas Laing's 60th anniversary bottling of rum-finished 1970s Macallan 30yo and a 20yo sherried Laphroaig just for starters. It's enough to make you feel a bit sorry for the Ardbeg 1991 and the Skye-based distillery that begins with T, either of which might have had top billing in another week...
Don't forget to sign up to our new Facebook Group 'The Whisky Exchange & Friends': |

A crop of very old, extremely distinguished malts bottled for Signatory's cask strength Reserve series, including a reasonably pale Port Ellen and heavily sherried offerings of 1960s Glen Grant and early 1970s Bowmore! There should be some crackers there. Also this week, we have the latest arrivals from the Number One Drinks Co.'s extremely successful Ichiro's Malt 'Card' series, featuring single cask bottlings from the lost-forever Hanyu distillery.
In other news this week, The Whisky Exchange has finally started a Facebook group for all our friends, so come along and join the party! Readers of a certain age who don't know or want to know what Facebook is may rest assured that participation is entirely optional and you're really not missing that much!

Another bunch of cool new stuff that's already flying off our shelves. Amongst the goodies this week we have the first ever single sherry cask Connemara from Cooley, a clutch of double maturations and finishes from the likes of Ben Nevis and Benriach - plus the newly-launched 'Paps' range from Isle of Jura, finished in a variety of wine casks.
We've also got a pair of ancient sherried Speysiders from Glenrothes and Macallan, courtesy of our friends at G&M; Smokehead has hit majority with the release of their new 18yo, while newly-revived Glenglassaugh delivers a bouncing baby new make spirit; and we've dug up a couple of bottles of a very rare privately-bottled Glenfiddich 1974.
Meanwhile, over on the TWE Blog, Tim F's been reading all about a new Swedish whisky venture, recoiling from some alcohol-free whisky and rubbing his hands together over some saucy pics of this year's Octomore release.

The new Laphroaig 18yo is a replacement for the 15 year-old (Prince Chuck's favourite whisky, lest we forget, and it'll be sorely missed when it's gone). This is a stronger, altogether gutsier affair at 48%.
