The second crop of new arrivals jostling for your attention comes courtesy of the splendid Signatory, with another bounteous array of single cask delights. Nice to see unsung heroes like Glen Elgin and Inchgower getting a look-in - plus some really rare stuff (Glenlochy, Inverleven and the like). Hats off once again to Mr. Symington.

Another crop of hot new releases this week

Another crop of hot new releases this week. The big news, of course, is the return of Glendronach - now happily under the stewardship of Billy Walker and the group responsible for the stunning turnaround at Benriach. Both the new 15yo Revival and the 18yo Allardice are 100% Oloroso matured, and have already been garnering rave reviews, which is nice for the sherryheads out there. In other news, we have a veritable cornucopia of new wine-finished Bruichladdichs and Murray McDavid releases [ Er, is that really news? Ed. ] ; a nosing kit designed to help you get your olfactory system up to speed and banish those annoying moments when you can't put your finger on what it is you're smelling; the first ever official single malt from French distillery Glann an Mor; a couple of travel retail specials from Glengoyne and Glenrothes, and a sherried Linkwood from Regis Lemaitre. Last but not least, we have some pretty remarkable Port Ellen from Old Bothwell. This intensely fruity, spicy beauty has no shortage of phenols behind it's sweet extreior.
