A 1996 vintage Signatory bottling of whisky from Glenlivet, released as part of the Cask Strength Collection. Distilled on May 13th 1996 and bottled on 30th November 2012, this spent the intervening 16 years in a sherry butt. We assume it was a refill cask, as it's not picked up large amounts of colour, and it marries Glenlivet's elegant spirit with light sherry notes.

Irish Single Malt Whiskey
Teeling's much anticipated 21 year old vintage reserve. Distilled in 1991, this was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then married in Sauternes casks to finish. This first batch is believed to be the first ever Sauternes finished Irish Whiskey. The next releases will be at 25 and 30 years old and we're brimming with anticipation.

Three great new American whiskies from Smooth Ambler, ranging from smooth bourbon to spicy rye.

Smooth Ambler's distillery was built in 2009, so this bottling was blended from barrels chosen by the owners, rather than their own spirit. Made from 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, this has spicy notes, both woody and almost chilli-like.

Smooth Ambler's 7 year old Old Scout Bourbon is a mixture of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malt. The distillery was only founded in 2009, so this whiskey is blended from casks distilled elsewhere and chosen by Smooth Ambler. It has sweet and spicy notes including apple, cherry and tobacco.

Jura's 1977 release is named Juar (Gaelic for Yew Tree). Aged for almost 34 years in three first fill bourbon casks, it was then finished in ruby port pipes for the last year. This has initial notes of peach melba, lemon and apples, turning more tropical as it develops in the mouth.
