THE WHISKY EXCHANGE @ VINOPOLIS The UK's leading spirits specialist In September 2005 The Whisky Exchange set up a retail outlet inside the Vinopolis Wine Tasting Attraction, situated on London’s south bank. This was to allow those that have been shopping on our website for the last 10+ years an opportunity to see the extent of our range in person, and more importantly get a bit of advice about any product from our drinks experts . The shop has now gone from strength to strength, having won the award for Best Independent Sprits Retailer at the Drinks Retailing Awards for both 2009 and 2010, along with many awards for our exclusive bottlings and online services. The shop holds a range of around 1,000 single malt whiskies, and some 500 other spirits. This is reinforced by friendly and approachable staff with many years experience in the drinks business, so you can be sure that you are getting the best possible advice.
For those of you that prefer their whisky to be spelt with an extra ‘e’, we have the widest choice of American, Canadian and Irish whiskies that you will find anywhere in the UK. To complete the choices, we carry many whiskies from Japan, as well as examples from Wales, India, Sweden and even Holland.
FILL YOUR OWN BOTTLE
We also have a number of small casks here in the shop from which you can fill a bottle with a handwritten personalised label. These are available in limited quantities and so therefore change on a regular basis. Currently we have:
• Craigellachie 1994 / 60.1% Speyside Single Malt
• Caol Ila 1999 / 60.1% Islay Single Malt
• The TWE Arras / 52.3% Blended Malt
Of course we realise that whisky isn’t everyone’s choice of tipple, so we also carry a wide selection of other spirits from all over the world. We have an astonishing variety of Rum, Cognac/Armagnac, a wide selection of Vodkas and Gins, one of the best selections of Tequilas outside of the Americas, as well as some more exotic libations and all the liqueurs and bitters you could need for the most discerning cocktail cabinet. PLEASE NOTE: We would like to make visiting customers aware that we do not have shelf space for every item that is listed on the website. If you are looking to purchase a specific product, we strongly advise you to contact us on +44 (0) 207 403 8688, or alternatively via email at vinopolis@thewhiskyexchange.com

In addition to these monthly tasting evenings, we can offer personal tutored tastings in the shop from 6.45pm Monday-Wednesday. Here we can accommodate for groups of 6-25 for a 1½ - 2 hour informal tasting. Though these tend to focus on Scottish Whiskies, we can do tastings on any spirit you might require, such as Japanese Whisky, Bourbon, Rum or even Tequila.
