A pure pot still Irish whiskey made at the now defunct Tullamore distillery, which closed in 1954 - over three decades before this museum-worthy whiskey was bottled for the Knappogue Castle label.
A marriage of two Dalmore casks filled on the same day in 1951, Selene has been bottled after nearly six decades of ageing in the darkest of the distillery's warehouses, and named after the Titan goddess of the moon. Just thirty decanters have been produced, each encased in a solid steel box inlaid with leather.
Just 20 decanters of Eos (named after the Titan goddess of the sun) have been released. A sister bottling to 2010's Selene, Eos has been bottled from the same two sherry casks after an additional year's ageing.
