A single first fill American hogshead of very old Benriach, distilled in 1966 and bottled in late 2010 by Gordon & Macphail for their Private Collection series.

A 1966 single cask whisky from Glenfarclas. This whisky has been aged for an amazing 45 years, bottled in 2011. This is the 8th release from this vintage that has been used for the Family Casks range.

This cask was matured full-term in a Sandeman cream sherry butt and remains the finest expression from this distillery we have tried. Hugely impressive stuff, with complex fruitcake, leather and cognac-esque rancio characters, with a delicious sherried sweetness.

A release of 35 year old Bruichladdich by Douglas Laing as part of their Old Malt Cask range. This was distilled in 1966, a few years after the distillery stopped malting its own barley and switched to buying it in from Port Ellen, and bottled just in time at a cask strength of 40.5%.

A rare Signatory release of Glen Scotia 1966, bottled at twenty-seven years old in the mid-1990s from two sister casks.

A single cask distillery bottling from Auchentoshan. An very old example for their spirit, which is generally bottled much younger, released at 31 years old having aged in a hogshead since 28th March 1966.

The Bruichladdich Legacy series is a series of 6 bottles which were released annually from 2002 until 2007. All these whiskies are from incredibly old casks, and in some cases a marriage of several casks. This first release is a stunning 1966 vintage whisky bottled in 2002, also celebrating the Queen's golden jubilee.
