From the distillery also known as Glenesk comes this little-seen and hugely under-rated Rare Malts bottling under the Hillside moniker. A bit OTT at full strength, with a drop of water this dram reveals a hidden honeyed beauty.
An old and incredibly dark whisky from Glendronach, released as part of their 8th selection of single casks. Distilled in 1971 and aged for 42 years in a Pedro Ximenez puncheon before bottling in May 2013, this has concentrated in flavour over the years into a fantastic sherried dram.
A very rare single cask distillery bottling from Balvenie. Filled into cask #8923 on 29th June 1971 and then left alone for 33 years until bottling on 27th May 2005, a mere month away from it's 34th birthday. With only 225 cask strength bottles left in the cask there's very little of this left undrunk.
A 1971 vintage Brora bottled by Douglas Laing as part of their Old Malt Cask series. Brora was sadly closed in 1983 and bottlings from the distillery are now highly sought after. This was awarded an average of 92 points by 7 of the Malt Maniacs.
A long awaited entry in the Highland Park Orcadian Vintage range - distilled way back in 1971. Continuing the tradition of the other bottlings in the series its comes in a hefty bottle and is packaged in a beautiful wooden box.
