1980 Vintage Whisky

Distilled on October 31st 1980, this whisky was matured for 25 years and bottled as a single cask release.

A legendary Ardbeg, Kildalton was a one-off bottling (1300 bottles released in 2004) of some experimental unpeated and lightly peated whiskies made at the distillery in 1980. It is known that these experiments ran from 1979-81, but while a 1981 Kildalton mini appeared in the Ardbeg Peat Pack a few years ago the 1979 vintage has yet to see the light of day. Fingers crossed they haven't lost it or used it in any of their other bottlings.

A relatively young entry in Glenlivet's much vaunted Cellar Collection, distilled in 1980 and bottled 'only' about 31 years later. Initial reports have been excellent for this whisky, with praise splurging across the internet, and we're rather pleased to have grabbed a few bottles.

An independent release of single cask Bowmore, distilled in August 1980 and bottled in July 2004 at cask strength. What's more, it comes with a rather nifty replica copper still decanter, embossed with a name plate featuring the bottle number.
