1985 Vintage Whisky

An immensely perfumed Bowmore in it's true form from this era. A very nice dram at a high strength but this whisky has enough weight to balance all the flavours with the strength.

A single hogshead of Craggganmore 1985, bottled by Signatory for their Cask Strength Collection. Indie bottlings of Cragganmore are pretty thin on the ground, so this is a welcome addition.

The first Knockando in Diageo's special releases line-up and a bit of a swerve from normal. Firstly, there's no vintage on the bottle, unlike their other expressions, and secondly it's matured solely in first fill sherry casks, for a heavily rich flavour.

The first distillery bottling of Benrinnes in aeons, this is a heavily-sherried number, very old-school with a touch of gun-metal.

The Glenfarclas Family Casks series is a new range of vintage casks from one of Speyside's best distilleries. All but three of the range (1952, 1979 & 1984) are from first fill or refill sherry casks.

The third edition in Bruichladdich's DNA series, examining the component parts that make the distillery's whiskies tick. This one marries together some of their best casks of the 1980s - their final batch of sherry butts. Bottled at cask strength and limited to only 1665 bottles, this is one for all fans and collectors of Bruichladdich.

A legendary Lagavulin, originally released in 2007 - and it's to be the last fully sherried release, we're told. Boasting 95 points on Whiskyfun, this has become incredibly sought-after.
