A 1986 vintage Glen Moray from independent bottlers Adelphi. The distillery is well known for only using ex bourbon barrels for the main part maturation of their whiskies (barring a few examples of finishing in wine casks).
Another 'secret' release from a distillery on Skye, ho-hum, who on earth could that be?! Glorious colour from 21 years in first fill sherry butts - if you want one of these you'll need to be quick as it's unlikely to be hanging around.
Released in the summer of 2013, this is a limited edition release of 3482 bottles from Glen Moray, each of which is hand signed by master distiller Graham Coull. Distilled in 1986, this was aged initially in ex bourbon casks before being finished in port casks.
The 2004 release of Macallan 18 year old. Aged exclusively in sherry casks, this is blended from whiskies distilled in 1986 and in earlier years. The archetypal sherried Speyside, this has notes of spice and orange.
