A peated Speyside that turns out to be a sweetheart underneath, this 12yo Ardmore 1994 is an easy-drinking malt, and more mellow than hardcore peatheads might expect. See our tasting notes for more info.
Distilled at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, this is a great example of combining their weighty spirit with active sherry cask maturation. Dark and fruity, with heavy notes of chocolate, plums and leathery spice, this is a flavour bomb that will keep any sherried whisky fan happy.
A 1994 vintage Caol Ila released by independent bottlers Gordon & Macphail as park of their Cask Strength Series. Distilled in September, this was aged for 11 years in a pair of first-fill sherry butts before being bottled at 58.2% in December 2005.
By far the most popular of the Distiller's Edition series this double matured Lagavulin has had a finishing period in sweet, sticky Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. A whisky that never disappoints. IWSC 2012 - Gold Medal - Whisky - Scotch
A 1994 vintage Longrow from independent bottlers (and Springbank distillery's subsidiary) Cadenhead's. This was distilled just two years after Springbank's on-site maltings reopened and was bottled at 11 years of age.
A single sherry cask of Talisker 1994 bottled at full strength as part of Diageo's Managers' Choice series. Bandages and bonfire aromas on the nose give way to a turfy, palate with some citrus also evident before a sweet finish.
