Johnnie Walker 1805
Blue Label
Blended Scotch Whisky70cl / 40%
In 2005, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of John Walker's birth, Master Blender Jim Beveridge was given the task of creating one the world's rarest and most exclusive blended whiskies.
At his disposal was unlimited access to some the oldest and rarest whisky on earth.
Experience
Just 200 bottles of Johnnie Walker 1805 were created, a celebration blend so exclusive that none of the bottles were offered for public sale.
Instead, each bottle was gifted to public figures considered by the company to have made 'a significant contribution to modern life'. The list of those considered worthy of a bottle of this precious blend has remained secret.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label 1805 Celebration Blend has been hand-crafted by Jim Beveridge from nine component whiskies aged between 45 and 70 years old, and has been bottled at its natural cask strength of 46.3%.
Tasting Notes
"The opportunity to convey the life of John Walker through a celebration blend of the world's most precious whisky stocks is any blender's dream."

Johnnie Walker Master Blender
To the most privileged palate, Johnnie Walker Blue Label 1805 whispers of long forgotten autumns with opulent fruits and creamy vanilla laced with hints of moss and fallen leaves. A light smoke gently threads its way through the fruits, leaving a smooth, mature texture that lingers long after the last drop has been swallowed. Johnnie Walker Blue Label 1805 edition is a precious example of whisky perfection.
The Presentation
The packaging for this ultra-limited blend is a work of art in itself.
Presented in a traditional
Victorian-style writing case.
The bottle has been decorated with a gold bust of John Walker and etched with a replication of the Johnnie Walker archives' oldest surviving document: "The inventory of the stocks and effects of John Walker, November 1819."
Included in the presentation case is a recreation of John Walker's grandson Alexander Walker II's original handwritten book of blending recipes as well as a replica antique nib pen.
