Not bad actually, well crafted spirit - the nose is lovely, probably the best part of this whisky: dark berries and slightly briney - the palate is thin when first open, but thickens abit a quarter way in, and a touch of water helps this. Finish, dark berries again, a hit of chocolate, and brine. Its really not bad for the price

Totally agree with David Hough re 26th Dec 10 The discontinuing of this quite excellent brand is remarkable act of stupidity.

I am disgusted that this reputable distillery have had the audacity to change the traditional and well liked Glen Ord 12 Year Old ABV 40% 70cl whisky for the Singleton brand. The Marketing department should be fired. The square bottle was loved by all and now no longer available. It makes me so angry that they can do this change without consulting their long loyal customers south of the border. HAPPY NEW YEAR my first without the square bottle.

This is a very nice whisky, but not as good as the 12 year old Glen Ord (in the sqaure bottle) it replaced due to influence from the Asian market, I am told. According to Staff at a distillery not far from the Muir of Ord (not Glen Ord) I am not the only one to have this opinion. Change for the better (other than for the Balance Sheet)?
