A bottle of Martini Asti. A sweet, low-alcohol sparkling wine made from Moscato grapes grown in the vicinity of Asti. Whilst its qualities as an aperitif arte well known, this can also be paired with Asian food as an alternative to Alsacian wine.
A bottle of Williams & Humbert's excellent dry Fino sherry. Made entirely from Palomino grapes which are aged in a solera system for at least five years before bottling. This is best served very cold with seafood or on its own as an aperitif.
A very off-the-wall alternative to port, Rubis is a chocolate-flavoured Spanish fortified wine made from the Tempranillo grape (more usually seen in Rioja) and infused with a luxurious chocolate essence. Chocolate AND red wine?! The ladies are going to love this.
A bottle of Triple Crown Ruby Port from Croft, a company who can trace their roots back to 1588. A blend of young ports with an average age of 3 years, this is full bodied, fruity and made to be drunk young.
Argueso have been making sherry since 1822. This is their Las Medallas Manzanilla. Made from 100% Palomino grapes and aged for over 5 years, this has the classic salty tang. This works well with parma ham and all manner of shellfish.
A bottle of Martini Prosecco. Produced using grapes frown in the Veneto and Fruili regions of northern Italy, this is dry, fresh and crisply aromatic. Delicious either as an aperitif or mixed 1:1 with Martini Rosato or Bianco in a Martini Royale.
A cream sherry from the bodega of Williams & Humbert, sweetening dry Oloroso made from Palomino grapes with Pedro Ximenez for a rich and sweet wine. Aged in a solera system for at least six years prior to bottling.
The entry level port in Cockburn's range, this is produced using grapes grown at both Cockburn's own vineyard and neighbouring properties in the Upper Douro. Enjoying a longer ageing in oak than most other ports at this quality level, this is vibrantly fruity and can be enjoyed on its own as a digestif or with fine cheeses.
A beautiful Palo Cortado sherry from Gonzalez Byass. Produced from Amontillado sherry, this ages for 12 years before bottling to give a lightly sweet and nutty wine. Excellent drunk chilled as either an aperitif or as an accompaniment to food.
