Continuing the run of impressive cask strength bottlings, this edition from Amrut clocks in at a pokey 61.8% and promises their usual balance of spice and fruit.
Amrut Fusion gets its name from the fact that it uses two barleys: Indian and Scottish - with the latter being peated for good measure. Batch One was a hugely successful award-winner, this is a new batch which we think is just as good or better. MAXIMUM 1 BOTTLE PER CUSTOMER. Web-Exclusive Price!
The new Amrut Indian Single Malt has been beefed up to 46% and we can't wait to try it. The peated cask-strength stuff is excellent and this should be a significant improvement on the old 40% bottling. Web-Exclusive Price!
Bottled by TWE at its full take-no-prisoners 63%, our Amrut Special Reserve's bark might seem a bit scary at full strength, but with a dash of water it quickly rolls over and lets you tickle its tummy, revealing a delightful confluence of honeyed malt, fruit and oak. This exuberant little charmer might just be one of the bargains of the year.
Made using Indian barley from the North West Provinces, which are distilled and matured in South India. After the first period of maturation, the barrels are moved to an undisclosed location in Europe to undergo a second period of maturation in the cooler climate. The result is Amrut Two Continents.
