A lesser known whisky outside of the local Japanese market, this version of Akashi is specially produced for the European market using a mixture of Japanese and foreign made malt and grain whisky to produce a reasonably priced every day blend.
Akashi-tai's Honjozo sake is made to be slightly lighter in style than other sakes, using high quality rice and a small amount of brewers alcohol to create a crisp, dry and easy to drink sake.
Akashi-Tai Honjozo sake has a small amount of light spirit added to fortify the drink, before being diluted to regular strength, producing a lighter and fresher style.
