A 20 year old single malt whisky from Aberlour, bottled by our sister company Speciality Drinks Ltd as part of the Single Malts of Scotland range. Distilled in 1990, matured in a hogshead and then bottled on the 27th of May 2011 with an outturn of just 200 bottles.
A sherry butt-matured Aberlour 1992 bottled by Speciality Drinks for the Single Malts of Scotland range. Smooth and tasty, with a bit more lively spice than the standard bottlings.
A fruity Ardmore with their traditional whiff of smoke that was a big hit at the 2011 Whisky Exchange Whisky Show. Bourbon matured and bottled in 2011.
Hefty peat is the dominant characteristic of this delicious, if atypical, Speyside from one of Scotland's most under-rated distilleries, Ardmore. This 1994 12yo is a robust, potent dram.
A peated Speyside that turns out to be a sweetheart underneath, this 12yo Ardmore 1994 is an easy-drinking malt, and more mellow than hardcore peatheads might expect. See our tasting notes for more info.
Another release from our much-lauded stash of Ardmore 1994, this 13yo is medium-bodied with intense spices, pepper and soot alongside compensating honeyed fruity hints. Top-quality stuff from this little-known peated Speysider.
A powerful cask-strength Arran from a single hogshead filled in 1996, just a year after the distillery was established. A drop of water will bring the best out of this sweet-smelling, peppery dram.
A barrel-matured Auchentoshan 1992 bottled for The Single Malts of Scotland. A barrel is a smaller kind of cask than the standard hogshead, meaning this has picked up plenty of character in its sixteen years in the wood. Fresh, grassy and very lively at full cask strength.
Another gem from our stash of Aultmore, this 1992 15yo is a vatting of three ex-Bourbon barrels, and is dry with a fresh, intense maltiness. Received 90.5 points from Jim Murray, who called it "a sublime, outwardly simplistic, cleverly understated dram".
Bottled from the Last Consignment of stock of Royal Naval Rum, which had been hidden in storage since Black Tot Day in 1970 - when the official rations ceased - Black Tot is a true piece of rum (and naval) history. Rumfest Golden Rum Barrel Awards 2010: Best European Rum
