Best sour mash whiskey I've tasted... Keep my current bottle of Old Crow in the freezer. Then when I imbibe will take a frosted large 16oz heavy glass, fill it with crystal clear ice, pour in the golden nectar(Old Crow)and mix with Coke Classic !! Take a long pull on this drink and enjoy. It don't get any better ! Old Crow has the best taste and longest after-Burn glow of all sour mashes I've tried. None compare. It is the real deal since 1835 !!

I am a bourbon drinker from Wisconsin. I have been drinking Old Crow for over 40 years. Best darn bourbon for the price that exists.

It certainly was the whiskey of choice of ww2 pilot and ace Clarence "Bud" Anderson, who named his famous P51 mustang "Old Crow". It is a shame that the founder of the sour mash process gets remembered by a "bottom shelf whiskey" as it is called. You would think the industry could pay better tribute.....

i'm an american living in england.i was a fan of single malts for years but have grown to love bourbon more so. i'm planning to try this as well as old overholt. if old crow was good enough for mark twain its good enough for me. i will confess that the history of these whiskeys appeals to me as much as any review

Thats right...Hunter mentioned a few bourbons in different writings. Old Crow and Old Fitzgerald get mentioned a fair bit in The Proud Highway. Wild Turkey is the most widely known favorite of His though. Buffalo Trace is the best but this looks worth a go

HST drank this in more than one article. Possibly when he's talking to the guy at the bar in the Kentucky Derby Is Decadent and Depraved (although that might have been Old Fitz). But definitely one of HST's tipples.
