9 Year Old Lightly Peated
- Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
- Distillery Bottling
A cask strength peated 9yo Bladnoch 2001. Peated Lowland whisky - you don't see a lot of that around, this may be the first one that we've come across. We expect this to be popular. At present we're not sure how 'lightly' peated this is, if anyone knows ppms etc, please post in the comments.

Love my Lowlanders (extinct ones more than current admittedly) and wasn't disappointed with this. Absolutely gorgeous whisky, wonderful mouthfeel; honeyed background with a perfect spicy, peppery tang, as if I dropped Talisker in my Dalwhinnie! Utterly delicious to me, but I broke the cork and noticed a weird inky residue in the bottom of the bottle. Won't stop me from buying another-a great price for a CS daily drinker.I hope the price won't creep up like some do.
I was at Bladnoch last week and asked about the ppms on this, and was informed they are around 15ppm, so really a medium peated whisky. Very nice too!!
