An extremely complex and enjoyable drink with strong strands of citrus fruits, spiciness, barley and an amazing oaky finish. A great dram! - Ben, 5th Jan '11

Good descriptions here and even though I had not tried it before, my experience with DoubleWood gave me confidence to give it a try. Not disappointed so far and it is very easy to drink.

A good whisky, I do find the milder and lower ABV Rum cask, Cuban selection and the Carribean Cask's better than this product though.

I can only agree with "B.W", soo elegant and yes soo Balvenie. One of the best dram ever...

The bottle that I have was given to me by a friend that prefers a much more peaty flavour than I have yet acquired. I am new to the wonderful world of scotch and am unable to detect the subtle tastes that are described. However I have tasted a number of different lowland, highland and Islay single malts and I found this very enjoyable. I hope to discover many more as delightful.

Everything you love about Balvenie with a hint of spice and some molasses to go with that Balvenie honey. A big, chewy flavour that makes the mouth water for more.

I am more inclined towards the smokier islay and island malts but I must say this is one of the best malts I have ever had. So juicy, honeyed with some nice spice (not too much). A real fresh sweetness exists in this malt and it is just a delightful dram. If you are looking for something light and sweet with accessible complexity then you need to try this. I have loads of malts and this is the best non smoky one to date.
