Bruichladdich 15 Year Old Reviews
Tasting Notes by Billy A
Nose: Candle wax, floral touches (both honeysuckle freshness and more fragrant petals), sweet apple, vanilla cream and a bit of tropical fruit.
Palate: Very soft to start, with darker and heavier flavours developing on the palate - sharp woody spice (clove and cinnamon), dark wood bitterness, wood resin and charcoal, with a gentle syrup sweetness taking the edge off.
Finish: Fruity dark chocolate, apple skins, lingering woody spice with hints of the flowers from the nose.
Comment: From such a delicate nose I didn't expect quite the attack that the palate displays, but it works well without becoming unbalanced. A definite game of two halves.
