Chateau de Lacaze 1981 Bas Armagnac Reviews
3 Customer Reviews
When I first tried the ''81 Lacaze, I was overwhelmed at the sheer flavour of the thing, not to mention its strength. Having improved my palate since, I''ve come to really appreciate this vintage Armagnac. Very rich fruity nose with a clean ''tang'' about it, leading to a clean, crisp, smooth steady warming in the mouth, with subtle leather, earth, wood and Christmas pudding, which it pairs beautifully with by the way. After taste not quite as long or complex as I had hoped, but nice spicy quality, and a very good Armagnac all the same. Experienced drinkers of the brandy will love this after a good meal
I have just decanted an unopened bottle due to cork breakup. Still absolute nectar and a snip at this price.
Not sure why this product is not flying off the shelves. It is simply superb - and at this price little short of a ''give away'' . Highly recommended
