- Island Single Malt Whisky
- Scotch Malt Whisky Society
The 14th cask that The Scotch Malt whisky Society have bottled from Scapa. The distillery often gets overlooked in favour of its more famous Orkney neighbour, Highland Park. This was distilled in 1980, just two years after the distillery was modernised by previous owners Hiram Walker & Sons. "What a way to start the day" is how SMWS describe this.

Producer's NotesThe other Orkney whisky, distilled by the Grand Fleet's anchorage. Pale gold colour and lots of beads from a refill cask. The nose is of wine and smoke with a heavy toffee undertone. Watered, it becomes sweet and light and perfumed, like azalea or jasmine. The taste is sweet to start and dry to finish, a balance as judicious as it is surprising. What a way to start the day, a perfect breakfast whisky.
