- Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
- Scotch Malt Whisky Society
The 27th cask that The Scotch Malt whisky Society have bottled from Glenlivet. The title is "Warm sunshine after heavy rain". This was aged in a refill sherry cask (they quote a hogshead, but given the number of bottles that came out of the cask, we assume it was a butt). It has notes of Christmas cake and chocolate.

Producer's NoteFrom the distillery which once gave its name to the longest glen in Scotland; and to an appellation. Large raindrop; beads appear in the glass with a rich gold colouring from the refill sherry hogshead. The initial aromas are of a garden just after a heavy rainfall, giving a heavy but clean richness. Beware though, there is still a prickle on the roses, or whisky! Also in the garden air is a subtle and soft citrus scent, similar to limes. With water the weather theme continues; it is as if the sun has appeared and dried out the roses giving a fresher and lighter finish, with a sugary icing; coating (the best part of a Christmas cake). The taste is warm and sparkly (like the sun after heavy rain) giving a slightly chocolatey flavour to the long finish.
