Sherried Longmorn can be a thing of beauty, and this is definitely one of those - 21 years of maturation in a sherry hogshead has created an excellent whisky. Dark and fruity, with butter and spicy notes, this is a fantastic example of well-aged Longmorn.

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Note by Stuart P

Nose: Fruity and spicy: cinnamon, Seville oranges, cherries and cocoa powder, balanced by refreshing citrus and ginger notes, then a curiously dusty/leathery note, like an old library.

Palate: Restrained Christmas cake flavours, then notes of malt loaf, treacle toffee and Black Forest gateau all fighting for attention.

Finish: An enveloping blanket of warming autumnal spice.

  • Producer's Notes

Nose: Macerated red fruit – cherries, raspberries and blackcurrants. Soft buttery notes mixed with brown sugar give a luxurious feel to the nose.

Palate: Cola bottles and more sweet fruit. 75% dark chocolate with cherry compote and a hint of walnut.

Finish: Menthol and sultanas, with a more nutty feel developing over time.
