Skipper Demerara Rum Reviews
Tasting Notes by CLASS Magazine
Clear, deep mahogany with burgundy red and gold highlights.
Pungent molasses and burnt fruit cake, raisins, vanilla and mocha coffee.
Brawny, bittersweet, slightly burnt palate with crème brûlée, thick molasses, liquorice and hot spice.
Lingering molasses, dark berry fruit, woody liquorice and clove spice. A proper Demerera 'dark' rum with huge character and attitude.

Dense, complex and crammed with flavour. It''s become my mixer of choice, but more than holds its own straight.
Perfectly balanced straight or mixed. Great example of a dark rum and well worth making it your staple if dark rums are your thing.
Not too sweet or too bitter and a good taste of molasses without overpowering the pleasant currenty fruitiness. Jolly nice stuff and at a sensible 40% alcohol and reasonable price well worth having more than a single.
Good, solid Demerara rum. Demerara is actually a Dutch word for the area of Guayana they colonised. This rum is a selection of Guayanan rums blended in Holland so its history makes sense. Nice strong molasses taste in the navy style. Quite a long finish with definite licorice flavour. Flavour comes through in most things you mix it with. Distilled at the same place as El Dorado rums which cannot be a bad thing.
The best rum in world as drunk at the Hawick Common Riding
