Brought a litre bottle of this back from Jamaica this summer and couldnt get enough of its smooth subtle caramel character. Hints of butterscotch are there running through it to give u that Caribbean warmth that can only be witnesses on the islands. Needless to say, it was so good that when my uncle was travelling back, I asked him to get me another bottle! Nice litre sitting on the shelf waiting to be opened..

Very good! Silky on the tongue and nice fruit like aroma. I am still a Vx lover too lol

Delicious. Rich flavor and deep, complex character for a younger rum.

Am a enthusiastic single malt drinker but have just bought a bottle of this and am very impressed... great cloves and cardamon nose and complexity with a lovely fresh arrival spicy mouthful and ginger wasabi aftertaste... as good as an 18 yo Whisky and at half the price..

I've tried most of the Appleton Rums and this is the best. Better than the Barbados rums. Glorious caramel and hazelnut flavours and best drunk neat without ice

Absolutely gorgeous. I have a bottle at the moment and it's the best rum I've tasted for less than £50. I've not tried the 12 year variety yet to see if that's significantly better. Highly recommend trying this if you haven't already.

Probably the best rum that I've had for the price. Vastly superior to Mount Gay, Captain Morgan and Morgan's Spiced Rums, also clearly better than 10-year old Matusalem.
