Great little whiskey. Simple yes, but sweet, slightly peppery and thoroughly enjoyable. Punches well above its price. You can''t get a bottle in the Edinburgh shops for love nor money: it just sells out too fast!
"Nose" - Malty, cereal, warm apple pie. "Palate" - Sweet entry of baklava/marzipan, vanilla, oatmeal with a dash of brown sugar. "Finish" - Florida oranges, crisp red grape skins, lemon zest. "General Impressions" Great value for money here. A little complexity too!
A tip to anyone who buys this. Don't be put off by the initially sweaty nose. Let it sit in the glass for a good 10-15 minutes to get it to room temp. Becomes much sweeter and pleasent.
this a very good single malt very mature
