Batavia Arrack dates back to the early 17th century when Dutch colonialists and traders found it and used it to ease their passage through the spice route. Batavia Arrack is a spirit made from sugar cane juice and fermented red rice. In an age where ‘Punch’ was a very popular drink Batavia Arrack was often mixed with sugar, citrus and spices to produce an exotic refreshing drink.
