Clandestine is one of the first first 'bootlegger' distilleries to go legal in 2005 after the lift of the absinthe ban. Based on famed distiller Charlotte Vaucher's recipe from 1935, founder Claude-Alain Bugnon produces his absinthe in the historic village of Couvet, where absinthe was born 200 years ago.
