Chivas Regal

Renowned worldwide for its rich honeyed and orchard fruit flavours, Chivas Regal is one of the most prominent brands in Scotch whisky. Its journey to prominence began in 1801 at a grocery store in Aberdeen, where brothers John and James Chivas honed their craft. When they couldn't find the perfect whisky for their customers, they created their own, by blending quality malt and grain whiskies. These skilful blends garnered a stellar reputation, even catching the attention of Queen Victoria, who awarded the brothers a Royal Warrant, permitting them to display the Royal Arms on each bottle.

As the middle offering in Chivas's trio of core releases, this premium blend showcases some of Scotland's finest whiskies. It features a higher proportion of malt than many blends, making it a standout choice for drinking in cocktails or sipping neat. Matured for at least 18 years, this blend achieves a delightful balance of dried fruit, rich dessert notes and a gentle wisp of smoke.

The now famed Chivas Regal 25 Year Old was one of the earliest luxury whiskies, introduced in 1909 to win hearts in United States high society. Its roaring success was abruptly halted by prohibition and production of this nutty and mouth-wateringly fruity blend of whiskies ceased. After almost a century, Chivas Brothers revived this iconic dram with the help of master blender Colin Scott, and today it is celebrated for its craftmanship and long, lingering flavour.
