Cragganmore is one of the cornerstones of the Distillers Edition range – a series of whiskies that take familiar distilleries and add extra layers of flavour by finishing the spirit in a specially-selected casks. Cragganmore’s entry in the range uses port casks to add an extra burst of rich fruit and sweet spice to the distillery’s deep and complex whisky.

    About Cragganmore

    Cragganmore Cragganmore

Cragganmore was founded in 1869 by John Smith, the original founder of Glenfarclas distillery. It stayed in the Smith family until the 1920s, when it was sold and became part of the Cragganmore-Glenlivet Distillery Company. In 1965 it became part of the Distillers Company Limited, a precursor of what is now Diageo, and became a key malt in the production of some of the world’s biggest blends, including White Horse and Johnnie Walker.

Cragganmore 12 Year Old was released as part of the Classic Malts range in 1988 and has been available ever since. A much-loved Speysider, it was no surprise to see the distillery also in the launch line-up of the Distillers Edition range in 1998, and it continues as one of Diageo’s best-loved distilleries to this day.
