A handful of treasures hitting our online virtual cyber-shelves today. We have the latest in the highly successful heavily-peated Ballechin series from Edradour (who also chip in with a full strength single cask), this time matured in a 'normal' Oloroso sherry cask. We also have a very special old Longmorn, Douglas Laing's latest G1£nf*rcl&s and a 30yo Macallan from a single non-sherry cask. And finally, we have the world-conquering Hankey Bannister 40yo. Which is nice. *STOP PRESS* Just in time for the weekend, we have none other than Port Charlotte PC8!
A mixed bag of whisky delights today after a brief hiatus caused by the combined effects of a devastating outbreak of annual leave alongside a particularly unforgiving strain of man flu

A mixed bag of whisky delights today after a brief hiatus caused by the combined effects of a devastating outbreak of annual leave alongside a particularly unforgiving strain of man flu (not swine flu, mind) sweeping through TWE Towers in the last couple of weeks. In no particular order, we kick off with the trusty Ardmore breaking new ground with their first-ever 25yo (the oldest official bottling released from this distillery); then there's the experimental Woodford Reserve going back to their roots with the Masters Collection 1838 Sweet Mash; an ancient 40yo sherried Speysider and a relatively perky 21yo sherried Laphroaig as the newest Douglas Laing Anniversary bottlings (plus the Duty Free OB Triple Wood and a curious Islay / Speyside combo); a trio of outstanding new releases from the suddenly-superb Amrut; and the small matter of the newest of our sister company SDL's fantastic Rosebank 1991s. You lucky people!
