Yes, the Special Releases are here again! Unfortunately allocations for the two most desirable bottles, Brora and Port Ellen, are very limited and will sell out almost immediately, but there's plenty of other interesting stuff this year as well - we're particulrly interested to see how the Auchroisk and Glen Spey turn out.

What a lot of goodies! You lucky people. A new Elements of Islay Lg2!!!! Also today, we've got new wine finishes from Edradour, a raft of toothsome bottlings from Signatory and some very eminent and venerable releases from G&M's Private Collection - to say nothing of Glenglassaugh's pocket-sized malt spirits, a brace of sherried Auchentoshans and the return of Jim Murray and Ingvar Ronde's annual essential reading. You'd think it was Christmas or something...eh? Ah.

Yes, you may have already seen this on the TWE Blog: it's the Dalmore 64 Trinitas, which has broken the record for the world's most expensive whisky at £100,000. Just three bottles of this precious whisky have been created by maestro Richard Paterson, and two have already been sold. The bottle pictured left is the last remaining Trinitas available, and is being sold on a first come, first served basis.
