Yes, you can tell when Christmas is on the horizon - lots of lovely new whiskies get released! This week we have a brand new cask-strength Springbank and this year's Special Releases from Diageo: plenty to get excited about here with the new annual releases from Brora and Port Ellen, a couple of aged Taliskers and, of course, the new 21 year-old Lagavulin. This fully sherried old Lagavulin has been eagerly anticipated, and early indications are that it will not disappoint. We expect this to sell very quickly and because of this we can only allocate one bottle per customer so that everyone has a fair chance of getting one.

But in many cases, bottlings are still available – for now. We’ve decided to feature these lost malts - and grains - so we’ve put a new section on the site where you can see and learn more about these ‘ghosts’.
