Some interesting things appearing on the site today - the latest bottlings from Doulas Laing, both Platinum Selections and Old Malt Casks, a pair of old grain whiskies from Clan Denny (which are amazingly cheap for their age and quality) and the new entry in Glenlivet's Cellar Collection, a much spoken about 1980 vintage.

Just in time for Christmas, we've got some very interesting stuff from one of Scotland's newest distilleries, Abhainn Dearg. The tiny distillery is located on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis and is therefore Scotland's most westerly distillery. Founded in 2008, Abhainn Dearg's spirit has just come of age and can now legally be called whisky having spent the requisite 3 years in casks. We've also got some of their earlier 'work in progress' release aka Spirit of Lewis, an aged malt spirit under three years old.
