Product Description

Named for the title once held by the feudal rulers of the Hebrides, Lord of the Isles is a classic for many Islay whisky fans. After 25 years in oak, it shows a mature profile with pleasantly dirty peat smoke and notes of seaweed bringing contrast to fresher flavours of ripe apples, green almonds, preserved lemons and pine needles. This expression was bottled for the last time in 2007, making this a rare sight today. An Islay icon that’s genuinely worthy of its reputation.

    Henry Hufflepuff,

What a whisky. The presentation is just pure theatre and the liquid inside..... BRAVO

  • Scotch Fan,

Great and balanced nose, same applies to palate. Balanced, mature, complex with very long and pleasant finish with strong peat, which somehow blends into the rest without overstating itself, which is phenomenal. Definitely the best Ardbeg, if not the best Isle malt ever! Hands down the most stunning 25 YO peated single malt Scotch around, also the most expensive I've come across with. Do the math yourself ;)

  • Anonymous,

I bought two bottles at the time when the price was below £300 for a bottle. I drank one and it was the best whisky I ever had. The second bottle is still in my cellar. I will NEVER sell it, no matter how high the price will go, but drink it with delight. I'm really looking forward to this.
